Candle Dust Covers

The most common candle dust cover shape is a round one. Square is sometimes used and almost always has rounded corners which are available in several radii to match your vessel. Custom shapes can be made but require a custom die cutting die which typically runs $200 to $250, however the die can be used repeatedly for future order so it is a one-time investment.

When sizing dust covers it is important to accurately measure the inside diameter of the vessel at the level the wax will be at, especially if the vessel has a taper to it. We recommend deducting 1/8” to ¼” inch from the inside diameter to allow for any variation as well as accommodating the wick should it be slightly off center. Custom size covers can be made but at an additional $200 to $250 for the die which can be used for reorders so it is a one-time investment.

While the most common wick hole is a round ¼” centered hole, other options may be available typically at additional cost, including wooden wick and custom holes. If you are looking for a wooden wick hole or an elongated single opening (rectangular or race-track shaped) be sure to include details in the field below. Two or three holes are also an option – just be sure to indicate the spacing along with the art file when you are ready to place the order.

Our standard sized round dust covers are available with or without a single pull tab. If choosing the tab option, select the tab direction from the pull-down menu.

PLEASE NOTE: All quotes are based on your supplied Print Ready file as per the requirements listed below. Files that do not meet these requirements will either be returned to you for correction or there will be an additional charge if you request us to make the correction for you.

Should you choose to proceed with this project, a PDF proof including safety margin, cut line, tab (if requested) and bleed image will be emailed to you prior to the production of the order.

Print ready files for Digitally Printed Dust Covers must include:

• Properly Sized Image(s) - needs no reduction or enlargement
• Vector (recommended) or 300 DPI Bitmapped File(s) saved as a PDF
• CMYK for color printing
• Safety, Cut Line and Bleed Margins are correct
• Line weights no thinner than .5 pt.
• No revisions of any kind are needed
• Centered on page without die line image

Print ready files for Foil Stamped, Letterpress Printed or Debossed Dust Covers must include:

• Properly Sized Image(s) - needs no reduction or enlargement
• Vector File(s) saved as a PDF
• 100% spot color(s) used in file (no CMYK, RGB or other colors)
• If printing digitally PLUS foil stamping, indicate foil image with 100% magenta
• Safety, Cut Line and Bleed Margins are correct
• Fonts no smaller than 6 pt. and no thin fonts
• Line weights no thinner than .5 pt.
• No revisions of any kind are needed
• Centered on page without die line image
